For decades, Prof. Dr Michael Braungart has been a pioneer of the Cradle to Cradle-Designkonzept.

Ambassador Inez Bjørg David

is a Berlin-based creative professional bringing emotionally rich stories to life – in front of the camera and behind it.

For years, Inez Bjørg David has been advocating for sustainable issues in the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2016, she received the New Economy Awards’ Honorary Prize for her work.

Issues such as justice – including in the economy – school education and opportunities for personal development are very close to her heart. She is an ambassador for the World Future Council and a member of the advisory board of Cradle to Cradle e.V.

It is a great honour for us to welcome the actress and director Inez Bjørg David as an ambassador for our foundation. Together with her, we aim to ensure that indoor air quality is rotected through limit values and regulations, so that future generations can live in an environment with healthy air to breathe.

Ambassador Sotirios Papathasiou

Founder GO AQS, WELL Building Institute Air Advisor, Expert Advisory The Safer Air Project – Indoor Air Quality is the value that reassures the well-being of occupants.

Sotirios Papathanasiou is an air quality expert with a substantial experience in the field of environmental issues but particularly indoor air pollution. His strong advocacy for clean air initiatives has led him to author three books on air pollution, for adults and kids as well as curate a popular web blog on it.

He has a keen interest in IoT devices for personal AQM/low-cost sensors and has been researching how start-ups rise and fall in this sector.
Finally, he can advise on factors critical to analyzing air pollution data. Local insights are extremely valuable in informing data interpretation.

After many years measuring emissions in automotive , HVAC and environmental sectors, his activities are now consultative for companies and organisations working towards cleaner and safer air, promoting technologies and instruments that measure poor, toxic and „infectious“ air and the efficacy of filtration and purification to help the process.
Increasing the awareness of the dangers to public health of combustion generated nanoparticles and the need for stricter limits and compliance testing are strong driving factors.
Despite increasing electrification, cleaner combustion must remain a key target for energy, transportation and industry. With focus on limiting emissions, we must use best available and fit for purpose sensing technologies to measure, monitor, check compliance and enforce stricter international standards.

Prof Jan Czerwinski spent his childhood in the Polish city of Kraków, where he first studied mechanical engineering before going on to graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Vienna University of Technology and obtaining his PhD at the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines. He has held industrial positions in the fields of diesel injection at Vöst Alpine Friedmann and turbocharging systems at BBC/ABB. From 1989 to 2019, he was Professor of Internal Combustion Engines and Exhaust Technology and Head of the Exhaust Emissions Testing Centre at BFH-TI Biel.
